everything. just another scene? welcome to the just another scene? webpage, focused on bringing you the connecticut, maine, massachusetts, new hampshire, rhode island, and vermont punk, ska, emo, hardcore, metal, jazz, rockabilly, swing, surf, and whatever other styles of music you can think of. This page began by being focused on the Boston scene, expanding to include Massachusetts and bits of New Hampshire, and finally expanding again to include all six new england states. the page is built off information that is sent to me so keep those show dates, band info, club info, label info, or whatever else might come in handy coming. thanks for the continued support. NEWS. Spring Heeled Jack News After the Pietasters/Pilfers/SHJ tour, the boys will be taking a break from the road for a while, playing local shows only, probably. No dates have been confirmed after this tour as far as shows are concerned. They are taking a break to put all their time writing and recording a new album. Though no new label has been set up, you can be sure the negotiations will be soon, and recording will start very soon after a deal is made. During their "slow time" Mike and Craig (drums & guitar) began a side project...emo/hardcore style, caled Delay. They both left Superglue to pursue this. But...Superglue shall continue on, with new members. So, they will be hibernating for a short while but will be back and on the attack soon enough. new Portland, Maine club News John and Mellow Lomba are currently renovating The Fine Arts on Congress St in the heart of Portland's Arts District. Once construction is completed the venue will provide a location for musicians, poets, live theater, film, refreshments, community service and other services such as rehearsal space/time for independent performers/theaters, an art gallery, and rental for special events. Currently, the Lomba's are considering a number of names for the venue and you are welcome to send any suggestions. The Space, Worcester, MA News Worcester, MA's the Space was shut down at the end of August for not having proper permits and the like. Many amazing bands have performed there and it was very supportive of the local, DIY lifestyle. NEWS: The mayor of Worcester has said that if the Space becomes a legal non-profit organization that he will approve funding from the city to help renovate it and will continue to give the Space money in oncoming years. It's going to involve a lot of filling out applications and possibly providing financial records to the city. The re-opening of the Space still looks like it will be a long ways off but at least it's beginning to get somewhere. Sike Records/Crash Davis News Crash Davis are an old school sounding, positive hardcore band. It features ex-members of line of fire, catchthirteen, and born to resist/in pieces. their 7" comes out on western massachusetts label Sike Records at the in my eyes, rain on the parade, good clean fun, last in line show on November 21, 1999 @ The Fat Cat, Worthington Street in Springfield. first 100 are on limited gold vinyl. Proclamation News Proclamation's full length CD is out now, featuring yours truly on backups (me) as well as Seth from AC.
