I have been looking forward to the new Grade stuff ever since I heard that they signed to Victory. If any band deserves to be on Victory, it has to be Grade. This Canadian band plays tough guy, intelligent, emo. I love the thought that "Life is different ways of not dying" from "Triumph & Tragedy" I love the variety of screaming in all Grade music. Melodic guitars and music with growling and crying and speaking and yelling and singing. "Stolen Bikes Ride Faster" has one of the greatest intro guitar parts I've heard and then sounds similar to something off "Separate the Magnets", I just can't put my finger on it. But then, the best part of the CD is yet to come... a cover of Van Halen's "Panama". And you know what, this almost sounds like Van Halen! (if VH's vocals weren't so deep) Okay, so now what's wrong with this CD? It's two short. I guess it's supposed to be a 7"/CD single, but all the same I feel like Grade is forgetting to add the last 8 songs that I want to hear because they're so good. Because of how few songs are on this, that means that it will be cheap...so all the more reason to buy it.
